We, The Maids, were founded in 1979 by Daniel J. Bishop, who started with a successful janitorial business in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Our Brand identity from day one was to focus The Maids on residential deep cleaning for those families with busy lives. Our four-person house cleaning teams and a recognizable yellow company car became a differentiating calling card, and our business quickly went national as we began franchising residential cleaning only one year later. One of our founders top values was the mindset of evolution, that we must always evolve and become better to meet changing consumer needs.
1995, The Maids became the first home cleaning business to clean for health. This was accomplished by using environmentally preferable cleaning products and a state-of-the-art backpack vacuum. The vacuum was developed specifically for The Maids. This resulted in the development of our unique 22-Step Cleaning Process, which set new standards for quality deep cleaning and revolutionized the residential cleaning industry.
Today, The Maids offers deep cleaning services in hundreds of major U.S. and Canadian cities with opportunities available. As a franchisee of The Maids, you are part of a nationally recognized residential home cleaning service. We are driven by a model of innovation, technology and efficiency with a commitment to the success of each of our franchisees. That’s why The Maids remains one of the top franchises to own across North America.
The Maids leads and is at the forefront of new technology and advancements in efficiency and customer experience.
