Love is in the air… so bust out the heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and long-stemmed roses, right? WRONG! If your woman is anything like me, she rarely takes time to do anything for herself. When she’s not working, she’s cooking dinner or cleaning the toy room, taking care of sick kids or helping them with homework, running to the store or driving the kids to practice. For the hard working mother living a life on the go, the most romantic gift you can give for Valentine’s Day is a break.
Here are some wonderful ways to show her how much you care:
Treat her to some serious R&R with a spa day. Depending on the spa, she can get a full body massage, choose from several different body treatments, or relax in the hot tub or sauna.
A makeover day at her favorite salon is a great way to help her feel refreshed, re-energized and like a new woman.
Nothing is more stress-relieving than coming home to a completely clean house. Hire The Maids to do all the dirty work while you reap the rewards.
4. Date Night
It doesn’t need to be extravagant or expensive, it just needs to include some one-on-one time together. Dinner and a movie, a walk in the park or drinks and dancing are just a few things you can do to get out of the house and enjoy each other’s company.
You may laugh, but all I really want to do is sleep. If at all possible, find a babysitter that you trust to take the kids overnight, and sleep in! A good 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep can be a dream come true for many hardworking mothers.
So, if you can relate to my wish list for Valentine’s Day, I encourage you to share it with someone you love. I know I will.
