The Maids of Overland Park, near Kansas City, is our franchise system’s big winner this year.
As Franchise of the Year, The Maids of Overland Park received high honors for factors that include not only revenue growth and profit but also quality of service, professional image, working environment and workforce morale.
The award recognizes the combined efforts of the owners, managers and each team member in creating a successful franchise. Owner Mark Ramsey started The Maids of Overland Park 10 years ago and employs 55 people.
“Mark Ramsey consistently strives to do better by setting high expectations for himself and his staff, utilizing strategic advertising and sales techniques and offering his customers a top-notch, quality service,” says Colin Bishop, president and CEO of The Maids International.
Ramsey received the award at The Maids recent national conference in Omaha, corporate home of The Maids International.
“Mark continuously exhibits an enthusiasm and determination for his business, from the high level of professionalism he extends to his employees to the outstanding care and concern he maintains for his customers,” Bishop said.
Despite a fickle economy, Ramsey’s business grew 10 percent during 2010 and he credits his employees with much of that success. Ramsey says he empowers them to provide excellent customer service and offers incentives for positive customer service feedback. During the past year, Ramsey’s office earned high marks in a system-wide customer satisfaction evaluation, earning a top five ranking within The Maids system on this important measure.
The Maids of Overland Park serves the residents of Johnson County, including the communities of Bucyrus, Countryside, Fairway, Gardner, Lake Quivira, Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission, Mission Hills, Mission Woods, Olathe, Overland Park, Prairie Village, Roeland Park, Spring Hill, Shawnee, Shawnee Mission, Stilwell, Westwood and Westwood Hills.
“There are so many good franchise partners within The Maids’ franchise community,” Ramsey says. “To be selected from among those is an amazing honor. This award puts me in a group of elite franchisees, people that I have looked up to and respected for more than ten years.”
“To be associated with that group is a credit to the people who work at our franchise,” he says.
