The Maids Supports Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The Maids Home Services has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. The foundation was formed in 1996 to establish and expand breast cancer research labs at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. Nearly $2.3 million dollars has been raised for Breast Cancer Research since the formation of this foundation.
The Maids Home Services show their support for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through purchasing and displaying the new specialty breast cancer research license plates for their fleet of yellow cars which teams use to travel throughout the city to customers' homes. The Maids Home Services' fleet now proudly displays 30 "Funding Breast Cancer Research" license plates. The cost of the special Breast Cancer Research Foundation license plates directly funds breast cancer research right here in Alabama! The license plates cost $50 each and $41.25 goes directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

The Maids Home Services Proudly Supports the Alabama Symphony Orchestra
Each year The Symphony Volunteer Council (SVC) of the Alabama Symphonic Association, Inc. sponsors the Decorators' ShowHouse. The success of The Decorators' ShowHouse has enabled the SVC to donate over $4.5 million dollars to the Alabama Symphonic Association. Since 1988, The Maids Home Services has proudly supported the Alabama Symphony Orchestra by donating the cleaning of the Decorator's ShowHouse.
The proceeds from the Decorators' ShowHouse go toward the Alabama Symphony Endowment and the orchestra's operating budget. The association uses this donation to fund educational programs, support for the administrative staff, and host guest artists. For the past twelve years, the council has sponsored music competitions. Through this competition, over $64,000 has been awarded to musically talented high school age young adults.
