Franchise Owner of The Maids of Johnson County Honored as Spirit Award Recipient

Mark Ramsey, owner of The Maids of Johnson County in Overland Park, Kan., was rewarded for the leadership and support he provides to his fellow colleagues within The Maids franchise network, by recently receiving the Jeff Harris Spirit Award at The Maids’ annual Growth Summit in Omaha, Neb.

The Jeff Harris Spirit Award is given to a franchise owner who demonstrates compassion and provides valuable guidance, encouragement and support to other franchisees. It is named in honor of Jeff Harris, a former regional franchise owner, whose character and demeanor made him a model friend and business mentor.

“The fact the award is named after Jeff meant the world to me,” said Ramsey. “It was an honor to receive an award named after him. We were friends and business partners for years.”

Ramsey earned the award, due in part to the time and talents he shares with The Maids’ franchise network. He has served on the franchise Advisory Council, been involved in many committees and task-forces, and has been a friend and mentor to many fellow franchise owners.

Mark is inclined to be involved because he believes in making the communities in which he is a part of better. “The franchise network is one community. When someone else does well it reflects on all of us. When someone helps someone else, it is good for everyone, and helps me succeed,” he shared.

“Mark is one of the kindest people you could ever meet,” said Colin Bishop, CEO and president of The Maids International. “He is very involved with the franchise network. Mark often offers to be on the ground floor with many of The Maids International’s initiatives and has also helped countless franchisees on a one-on-one basis to assist them in achieving personal and business success. Mark is very deserving of this award, and we thank him for his generosity in helping others.”
