The Maids Supports Habitat for Humanity

A good house cleaning can make a difference in the community. Just ask The Maids franchise serving Durham in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

Lynn and Sean Mulroy, franchise partners of The Maids in Ajax, offered their four-member cleaning team to clean a newly finished Habitat for Humanity home for free. The team, known as the "Green Team," cleaned it the day before the family received their house during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The family was overjoyed when they saw their new home.

Lynn Mulroy said she and her team were happy to donate their services to a good cause and a deserving family.

"The fact that Habitat for Humanity helps an entire family, particularly children, is compelling," she said. "It is imperative that we do what we can to support the communities in which we live. Our employees feel good about the service they are delivering, especially knowing that their efforts will be enjoyed by an entire family who are about to enter a very important time of their lives."

She said they feel it's important to help out in their community, especially with an organization like Habitat for Humanity.

"We have let Habitat for Humanity know that should any other homes be built in our territory, we'd be interested contributing our time and service again," Lynn Mulroy said.
