5th ANNUAL CHARITY DRIVE - THE DENISE HOUSE
For the 5th year in a
row, the employees of The Maids have chosen to organize a drive for The
Denise House, an emergency shelter for abused women and their children.
The Denise House is a facility for victims of violence against women; providing such services as safe shelter, counseling, and access to community resources and services.
Since opening its doors in 1986, The Denise House has gained
recognition as a valued service and support network for women...women no
longer silenced by the violence in their lives. More and more women -
from all walks of life - are turning to the shelter for safe
accommodations, supportive counseling and information resources.
From
now until December 19, 2012, we will be collecting items from
interested customers and delivering them to The Denise House on behalf
of The Maids customers. If you would like to make a donation, cash or
otherwise, please leave it on your kitchen counter clearly marked The
Denise House. An outline of acceptable items as published on The Denise
House’s website is listed on the attached page.
