The Maids of Columbus Honored as Franchise of the Year
Omaha, NE - The Maids International, corporate office of The Maids franchise system, recognized The Maids of Columbus, owned by Mike, Peter, and Dolores Manhoff, as Franchise of the Year, the company’s highest honor, during their recent Growth Summit in Omaha, Neb. The Growth Summit is an annual conference attended by franchise owners of The Maids. The conference provides education, networking and training, culminating with an awards banquet.
The Franchise of the Year honor recognizes the combined efforts of the owners, managers and every team member in achieving excellence in all facets of operating a successful The Maids franchise. Factors in the selection include not only revenue growth and profit, but also quality of service, professional image, working environment and morale of the workforce.
“It’s an incredible honor for our franchise,” stated Mike Manhoff, franchise owner. “Winning Franchise of the Year was actually a goal we set for ourselves over two years ago. And, when you achieve one of your goals, it’s definitely a thrill. We have such great people working here, and I couldn’t be more proud.”
Manhoff, along with his parents, Peter and Dolores, have been operating The Maids of Columbus since 2008. The Manhoffs employ over 70 people, who meticulously service the homes of customers throughout the Columbus area.
Despite the fickle economy of recent years, The Maids of Columbus achieved notable growth during 2011. Manhoff attributes much of his success directly to his employees. “We’re a very people-focused organization,” he explains. “We constantly work with our employees to help them grow and make them better. Better people equates to better service.”
“Mike has a remarkable enthusiasm for the business,” said Colin Bishop, president and CEO of The Maids International. “He has evolved the culture in his office, embraced a new era in advertising, and become a consummate leader in our system. He is a respected mentor who encourages his staff to develop not just as employees, but as individuals. The Manhoff way is both rewarding and inspiring.”
The Maids of Columbus serves Amlin, Blacklick, Columbus, Delaware, Dublin, Galena, Hilliard, Lewis Center, Linworth, Mount Air, New Albany, Powell, Riverlea, Sanbury, Shawnee Hills, Subbury, Upper Arlington, Westerville and Worthington, Ohio.
