THE MAIDS of Jackson, as Seen on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

The lives of one family and her children were forever changed when they heard Ty Pennington of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition scream “Good morning Jones family!” through a bull horn at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2007.

Jones and her children have lived in their home in Brandon, Miss., for the past 15 years and although Jones has been a nurse at a local hospital for the past two years, she had been unable to afford necessary repairs on the aging home.

The Maids of Jackson, Miss., joined the team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who had just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house - every single room, as well as the exterior and landscaping. It was a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to complete. Not only did they offer manual labor, they donated a year’s free housecleaning to the family as well.

The Maids of Jackson were honored that they were asked to participate and extremely excited to have a part in changing the Jones’ lives forever.

The episode aired early April 2007 on ABC.
