The Maids International, corporate office of The Maids franchise system, recognized Kelly Modeer as the 2012 Manager of the Year, the highest honor given to a The Maids manager, during its recent national conference held in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Manager of the Year award is designed to honor the person who most consistently displays exceptional ability in managing a The Maids franchise.  The winner must excel in areas including team management, sales ability, customer relations, rapport with employees, and work ethic.

Modeer joined The Maids of Kansas City in 2005, and has been one of the most important factors in the operation’s success.  Owners Gary, Sue, John and Deanna Hanson hired Modeer because of her ability to connect with people and provide a top-notch customer experience.

“Kelly is very skilled at managing the customer relationship,” shared John Hanson. “She stays involved throughout the entire process and is able to build an incredible rapport with our customers.  “We are constantly getting thank you notes from customers about something Kelly did for them.”

Modeer was surprised and humbled by her selection as The Maids Manager of the Year.

“I was completely speechless,” explained Modeer. “And, I’m never speechless. I’m pretty tapped into everything that goes on here, and I didn’t even know I’d been nominated.  It’s a great honor.”

Modeer truly enjoys what she does and loves watching team members succeed.  “Everyone in our office has a positive attitude.  We all work together and back each other up. This award should really be for the whole staff.”

Modeer takes great pride in making customers happy.

“I am fortunate to have a job that I love coming to everyday, where I can make peoples’ lives a little better,” she adds.
