The Maids of Richmond and Orlando Honored as Franchise of the Year

The Maids International, corporate office of The Maids franchise system, recognized a two-location franchise, The Maids of Richmond and The Maids of Orlando, owned by Tom and Lynn Ronan as Franchise of the Year, the company’s highest honor, during its recent  Annual Growth Summit in Omaha, Neb.  

The Franchise of the Year recognizes the combined efforts of the owners, managers and every team member, in achieving excellence in all facets of operating a successful The Maids franchise. Factors in the selection include not only revenue growth and profit, but also quality of service, professional image, working environment and morale of the workforce.

“We are thrilled and honored to be recognized by our peers,” stated franchisee Lynn Ronan. “However, we have to say that our employees deserve all of the praise.  We have wonderful, dedicated employees that take great pride in caring for others and this wouldn’t be possible without them.”  

The Ronans have been operating the Richmond franchise since 2003 when they began building the business from the ground level.  In 2011, they were ready for their next challenge and purchased the existing The Maids of Orlando, which they turned around in a short three year period, despite the slow economy. “It’s kind of like having kids,” Ronan explains. “The first time around, you’re terrified, but by the second one, you know what you’re doing and have a bit more confidence.”
