David and Lynn Jacobson of Phoenix, Ariz., are broadening their business ownership horizons...by purchasing a franchise more than 1,500 miles away from them.

They recently purchased the Maids Home Services of St. Louis, the residential cleaning franchise that specializes in cleaning for health, located at 1528 South Big Bend Boulevard.

The Jacobsons also own The Maids of Phoenix, Ariz., and have operated that franchise for the past nine years, which gives them a head start in experience and business ownership. By concentrating on high quality service and customer satisfaction, they have earned several awards from The Maids corporate office. They were named franchise of the year in 2007, and one of their field managers was named manager of the year in 2008. In addition, based on the results of an independent national research firm, the Jacobsons' customers consistently rank them among the top three of all The Maids franchises for quality, customer service and customer loyalty.

David and Lynn said they are excited about expanding their business to St. Louis, even during tough economic times.
