Peter and Dolores Manhoff opened their business in 1999, after Pete's vice president's position with a large supermarket chain was terminated. Shortly after opening their business, the Manhoff's were awarded the "Start Up of the Year" designation in 2000 due to their operational efficiency and revenue growth.
